Tamir received his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree at Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts, with a double-concentration in Painting and Drawing, and a minor in Art History. Tamir is currently the head curator and installer of daHub., a group he started which organizes art shows and promotes independent artists from all walks of life. Tamir has showcased his work at 7house Gallery, David Dupuy Gallery, Caelum Gallery, Mason Gross Galleries as well as at his own independent showcasings and workshops at buds&blooms and the Green Room.

"Central to my artistic practice is the belief that as a universal medium, art provides the opportunity to communicate beyond the limits of spoken language as a form of expression through which one can engage others with the perspectives, experiences, and uninhibited emotions that make us human, both as part of a collective and individuals simultaneously.

My work reflects a wide array of styles and mediums, specializing in oil and acrylic paintings as well as graphite, ink, pastel and charcoal drawings. He frequently experiments, working in realism and observational to abstract expressionism, gestural, cubism and surrealism. I believe that different art forms complement each other, often incorporating music into his visual arts work."
